Monument for the workers at former Schelde shipyard, Vlissingen.
Revealed 25th november 2017.
Armed concrete 1.20 x 2 x 9 m

Two work men with a hammer and a 'snapper' revetting metal. They are connected to an anchor chain that is reaching to the sky and which disappears in memories of the ships that left the slipway here, and now sailing the seas all over the world.
But it also recalls the heavy labor of hundreds of workers over the past century at the Schelde yard in Vlissingen.

After the revealing an emotional moment between the men who did this.
Willem Cornelis Murre was fighting to get the monument for the workers since 1999 and Herbert Sepers; the frontman of the Men Between Steel Foundation.
